Viña MontGras, in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, was established in 1992 by brothers Hernán and Eduardo Gras, together with their partner Cristián Hartwig. The fruit of a mission to produce estate-grown wines of exceptional quality and originality, the MontGras estate today encompasses nearly 500 acres planted to vine in the heart of Chile’s wine-producing region. Since the first harvest in the early 1990s, MontGras wines have earned over 200 medals and awards worldwide, garnering international critical acclaim. Introduced from France in the 1800s, Carmenère has developed a unique personality in the “terroir” of Chile, which is today, the only significant source of this unique variety. The Reserva Range reflects the MontGras philosophy, passion, and skill in showcasing each wine’s unique terroir.WINEMAKING & VINTAGE NOTES

Deep violet red color wint powerful aromas of spices, wild herbs, and toasty vanilla. Ripe black and red fruit, full of soft tannins, gives this wine a big structure with a creamy and round texture. Elegant and toasty notes from the ageing oak allows for a charming and lingering finish. Pairs well with sweet and sour dishes, home stews, patés, pasta, chicken, and oily fish dishes. Especially great with Indian and Chinese cuisines.
